Riley is approximately 7-8 months old. We found him at a high kill facility - dirty, scared, pitiful and lonely. Who wouldn't be? To look out every day from a cage surrounded by cries,  barks, howls, despair ... Riley is safe now with us at Rescue Dogs Rock NYC. Riley is up to date on shots and has been neutered. He is good with other dogs, and has been great with his foster mom. He is learning to overcome his mistrust of humans, who can blame him? Humans have failed him in the past, hurting him, neglecting him. It wasnt until his current foster mom that he ever knew a kind touch. When meeting a stranger, he wants to run in the opposite direction. But we are working on that. Riley is really a great boy, and we can't wait to watch him transform into the handsome and confident fella we know he is! We are looking for a patient forever home that will help him feel safe and confident. We would like to have that home waiting when he is ready for adoption.
