Samantha is a 36 pound pit bull terrier mix. Rescue Dogs Rock NYC pulled Samsntha to safety when animal control reached out for help. Samantha was brought in with damaged, bright red eyes that were pitted and ulcerated. She was transported to our vet partner where they told us she would need a double enucleation. We don't know how this happened to her, but it resulted in the loss of both eyes. Samantha is up to date on shots and spayed. She is super sweet and loves all people. She does well with other dogs too. Her foster mom says: her other senses have really taken over. Being blind doesn't slow her down at all! When she smells the cat, she follows her scent but doesn't bother her. She's very curious. Loves bones with no signs of aggression, to people or other dogs. Samantha is very playful and loves tug-of-war.
