Nelly was rescued from NYCACC at 8 years old and she weighs 8 pounds. Nelly was brought in as a stray, suffering from emaciation, urine scalding, poor body mass, bad teeth, but most urgent was the fact that she was suffering with life-threatening pyometra! Nelly was rushed to our emergency veterinarians for treatment. We believe when Nelly is feeling better it will make a HUGE difference in her initial assessment and that she will be fine with people and other dogs.
