Wonder needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Wonder is 3 months old and 11 pounds on intake to rescue. She is great with people of all ages and with other dogs, will be up to date on shots (age appropriate) and spayed prior to placement in her forever home. Read her story here: Wonder came to the shelter with an abscess on her back so large she was unable to use her back legs. She never learned to walk and we thought she would be left paralyzed. However, she is a strong pup and proved us all wrong! Wonder went with a staff foster after strict cage rest (we didn’t want to cause any more damage), and in no time Wonder started using her legs little by little. In just a few days of therapy, she was standing on her own to eat! (Click here to see progress ... video) And Wonder kept pushing on. She is finally catching up to her foster siblings and truly able to be a puppy! She loves to chew on toys (she is learning fast what to NOT chew on) and play chase. Every day we continue to see more and more progress! (Recent update – 10/31/2017) Wonder is a staffy blend at approximately 3 months and 11 pounds! She has the most adorable over bite and caught on quickly to those “puppy dog eyes”. She has been around big dogs, little dogs, and continuously being exposed to all different things.
