Meet Leslie! Leslie is a vivacious and social Maltese/Poodle mix who is approximately 8 years young. Leslie is the very definition of a ‘rescue dog’, she was abandoned at a kill shelter in Texas because her owners could not pay for her medical needs. She was left pregnant and with a grapefruit-sized mammary tumor. Of course, we scooped her up as soon as we heard about her, and Leslie has been given the very best care. Unfortunately, Leslie’s puppies didn’t survive, and her tumor was found to be malignant. We didn’t let that stop us from making sure Leslie got the attention, love, and care she needed. Leslie has had her tumors removed and is cancer free! Our vets have given Leslie a clean bill of health, and she is ready to find her furever home!

Leslie is a girl who knows what she wants and will lick your hand when she wants to be pet! She enjoys cuddling for as long as possible, and she loves playing fetch & going on walks. She will do well in the city or less urban areas. Leslie loves people of all ages, other dogs, and she gets along with cats. Leslie will brighten any home and give many years of joy and cuddles.
