Let me introduce you to the most precious boy ever...Ziggy. Ziggy is a Lab mix who is about 1.5 years old and he weighs only 30 pounds right now. Ziggy has been the victim of one of the worst abuse cases we have seen to date. He was chained in a yard when a fire broke out in his previous owners home.  Instead of cutting the chain and releasing him, they watched as the fire engulfed him. Ziggy sustained second and third degree burns on most of his body and was left to die.  The previous owners kept Ziggy attached to his chain in this horrendous condition for 2 weeks before loading him in the trunk of their car and dumping him at a shelter. It is beyond us how humans were able to torture and neglect such a sweet and loving boy this badly.  Even after all Ziggy has been through and the pain he is currently enduring he remains a gentle and loving boy to everyone he has encountered while in our care.  Our vow to Ziggy is that we will help him in every way possible...from getting him the urgent medical care he needed to finding him an amazing new forever family. Ziggy deserves the best home to call his own....with someone who will smother this angel baby with the unconditional love he has never known. His foster family reports that Ziggy loves everyone...except maybe squirrels he likes to chase those! He is a very respectful boy and always wants to be near his humans. In true Lab fashion, he is very smart and eager to please...what a good boy! He has been neutered and is up to date on vaccines.
