This amazingly precious girl is Ivy. Ivy is a 1.6 year old Pit mix who comes into rescue from Georgia. Ivy’s story is a sad one...we received a plea to help an extremely emaciated mom with three 5 week old puppies. Ivy had been abandoned and left to fend for herself and her family. She was malnourished and struggling to keep not only herself but also her pups alive on the harsh GA streets. Ivy watched as one by one her babies passed away. She was so sick herself that there was just nothing left she could do for her family. We immediately got Ivy and her 3 remaining puppies to safety. Sadly, we have since lost one of the pups leaving only two surviving males who are currently stable and making good progress. Momma Ivy deserves so much more than then horrible neglect she has had to suffer through. We want to find this girl the most amazing forever family. She needs a home of her own where she can experience nothing but unconditional love and happiness from here on out. She is doing great in her foster home and her foster mom says she is one of the sweetest dogs she has ever fostered! Ivy is such an angel and is wonderful with people of all ages and other dogs. She is a very good girl who is house and crate trained! She will be spayed and up to date on vaccines prior to placement in her forever home.
