Meet Gordo! Gordo is a 10 year old Dachshund who weighs 17 pounds. Another senior who was just dumped and left to fend for himself. Gordo was found running the streets of Dallas, weak, hardly able to walk, and crying in pain. He was picked up and swooped off the cold harsh streets and transported to our Dallas Vet partner where he will get all the medical care he needs. He has dental disease and he most likely has a broken pelvis which will require X-rays and possible surgery. Gordo has had a very hard life, most likely from having to try and survive outside and alone for so long...he has clearly suffered these past 10 years. Soon we will have Gordo all fixed up medically and we hope to give Gordo the best life from here on out. We can’t wait to find the forever family that will love and cherish him for the rest of his days. The Vet staff just raves about him...here is what they have to say: “We all love him here so much he is the sweetest most loving dog that has ever passed through our clinic, he bounces around the clinic and gives everybody a kiss be it person, pupper, or kitten. He just wants to patrol and make sure he spreads his love to everyone.” He will be neutered and up to date on vaccines prior to placement in his forever home. This precious boy deserves to have the most amazing future where he can experience the unconditional love and happiness that he has not known yet. If you would like to be the lucky one that gets to give Gordo his happy ever after, please fill out an adoption application here: http://www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org/general-application
