This cute little girl is Rachel. Rachel is a 3 year old Chihuahua who weighs 10 pounds. She comes into rescue from Texas. Poor Rachel has suffered from severe neglect for months if not years and we are so glad that she is finally safe with us. She is currently with our vet partner getting treatment for all her medical issues that are a direct result of the abuse and abandonment that she has had to endure. Her eyes were severely infected and if someone had only cared enough to treat her with inexpensive medication she would not be in this predicament and at risk of losing her eyesight. One eye was too far gone and needed to be surgically removed. Rachel is doing great after the surgery, and we are so thankful that we were able to save the other eye. If anyone is deserving of a brand new life in an amazing and loving forever home it is this precious girl. We can’t wait to find the special someone who can finally show Rachel what it’s like to be spoiled and pampered! She is the sweetest girl and is friendly with people of all ages and other dogs.
