Precious Cami is a 3 year old Shepherd mix who weighs 34 pounds. She comes into rescue from Texas. She has endured a terrible life so far...her previous owners starved her, let her suffer in pain, and while they were content in watching her try to exist like this she spiraled to near death from the abuse. When we got to her she was emaciated, and her skin raw and infected. Well, we have great news, she’s doing so much better and recovering nicely. Her hair is growing in beautifully, her skin is healing, and she’s gained a lot of weight. Most importantly she’s gaining confidence and finally learning to trust that not all humans are bad. She has become a happy dog who runs and plays and she’s finally getting a taste of the good life. She is now ready for a home of her very own...a super loving home where she can be spoiled and given all the affection that she is so deserving of! We can’t wait to see her find the special someone who can erase the past and give her the brightest future! Could that be you?! She is up to date on all vaccines and is spayed. She is crate trained and walks well on a leash...she is so calm and so sweet! She clings to her leader as her safe place and will follow you everywhere. She has a fun silly puppy side to her, does well with other dogs, and she loves cats and is so happy with her kitty friends! Cami can still be skiddish and back away until she feels comfortable with you but is 90 percent better than day one...give her a treat and she loves you! She is a quick learner and just a gentle sweet dog. If you would like to make Cami the newest member of your family and love of your life, please fill out an adoption application here: http://www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org/general-application
