Sweet little Lola is a 6 month old Terrier mix who comes into rescue from Texas. Her owner watched her get hit by a car and instead of caring for her in her time of desperate need, or vetting her, they instead dumped her in a high kill Texas shelter. They walked in and told the front desk staff that they did not want her. In their eyes, she was damaged goods and of no use to them. Their loss is our gain as Lola is pure joy and such a loving little princess. We had amazing people on our side and we were able to get her to the Vet hospital immediately for life saving medical care. Lola clearly had broken bones from the accident. X-rays showed that Lola sustained a fractured right leg, fractured left leg, and a fractured pelvis. Sadly, she also sustained deep wounds almost to the bone, that is how severe the impact was to poor Lola. She was able to get the surgery she needed and this little fighter is doing amazing now! Lola has had an amazing foster home to recuperate in and has made a miraculous turn around. She is up and walking and is medically cleared to start her journey with the very special person who can love, care for, and adore her to pieces for the rest of her life! Lola should never be abandoned or feel unwanted ever again and we are going to make sure we find the best forever home for her! She has an amazing spirit and is such an adorable and friendly pup. She is wonderful with people of all ages and other dogs and will be spayed and up to date on vaccines prior to placement in her forever home.
