Champ has a long story and has become a well known case against animal abuse and neglect. Champ was brought into rescue weighing 50 pounds, severely emaciated. He is an adult Mastiff, whose last weight had been documented as being 110 pounds! He was left with the 'girlfriend' who did not feed him, and left him to starve and suffer until we became aware of him and were able to bring him to rescue. Champ has his own page, his own followers, and a court case against his abuser. Champ is up to date on shots, neutered, great with people. He is not a fan of cats, and because of his lack of socialization to other animals, it is best to have a meet and greet and slow intro to other dogs. He does well with some, and with others perhaps not understanding their body language, he may exhibit signs of not liking. Therefore it is best to have a meet and greet and follow decompression guidelines. We are told "he has an amazing temperament. He loves kids! He's an incredible sweetheart, so easy going and loving. He loves people of all ages and it's impossible not to love him!" If you are interested in adopting Champ, please put your application in here: http://www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
