Olivia is a gorgeous 9 month old Black Mouth Cur mix who comes into rescue from Texas. We saved Olivia from a high kill shelter where she was very injured and not facing a good fate. Her front right leg was broken and dangling and we knew she had been neglected and suffering for way too long. We rushed her immediately to our vet partner where it was determined that the bottom portion of her leg was too far gone and required amputation. Don’t worry though, she was able to keep the rest of her leg making her a candidate for a prosthetic! This is much better than having to lose the whole leg and we know Olivia will prevail and learn how to manage with her new prosthetic. She is doing absolutely wonderful, has been recovering nicely, and is ready to find a home to call her very own! We can’t wait to see her smothered in unconditional love! She is an absolute gem...very sweet and friendly with people of all ages and other dogs. She will be spayed and up to date on vaccines prior to placement in her forever home.
