Little miss Layla is a 3 year old Shih Tzu who weighs 14 pounds and comes into rescue from Texas. Layla hasn’t had the best life so far and she was not in great shape when we got to her. We are not sure exactly what happened to poor Layla but she had a fractured pelvis. Don’t worry though, we were able to get her immediately to our vet partner where she has been able to get all the medical care she needs. She is currently with an amazing southern foster who has been helping mend her injury and she is doing really good! Layla will soon be ready to join a family of her very own and we can’t wait to see this little princess getting all the unconditional love that she is so deserving of! Layla is a very sweet and mellow girl! She loves to be held and doted on. She is a friendly girl but can take a little bit of time to warm up at first so a home without young children would be a better fit for her. She will be the best and cutest snuggle partner! Layla loves to be in the company of her humans so a new home where her owners won’t be gone for very long during the day would be perfect for her. Her foster home has multiple other doggie friends running around and this seems to be a little overwhelming for miss Layla so a quieter home where she can be the queen of the castle or have one other lower energy, mellow canine companion would be the best fit. She does fine around feline friends as well. She is on medication to resolve some ulcers in her eyes and may need occasional clear eyes drops from time to time. She loves to ride in the car and will be the most attentive and loving little companion ever! She will be spayed and up to date on vaccines prior to placement in her forever home.
