This precious girl is Sarita. Sarita is 2 years old and our best guess for breed right now is Shar Pei mix. She comes into rescue from Texas where she was found in horrific shape. She was emaciated, almost completely hairless, her skin so raw and infected. She had severe eye infections, and her hearing and vision seem impaired. Her teeth are extremely damaged and we are just so sad that this sweet and innocent girl has had to endure so much suffering. After just a few weeks in rescue, Sarita is already making great strides in her recovery. She is being closely monitored by our vet partner. Her skin is slowly healing and as her eye infections are clearing we are optimistic that her vision might improve. She will continue to see medical specialists to assist in her recovery and soon enough she will be ready for a home to call her very own. We would love to have an adopter waiting for her! Sarita deserves the best new family who will finally show her all the things that she’s never known before....what it’s like to be unconditionally loved, adored, and spoiled! She is an absolute joy to be around and despite the condition she’s in just keeps wagging her tail and bringing smiles to everyone that meets her. She is a climber and can easily climb a 6ft chain link fence! If her new home has a yard, one with a privacy fence would be the most secure for this agile girl but she would be fine with apartment life as well. She is friendly with people of all ages and other dogs and will be spayed and up to date on vaccines prior to placement in her forever home.
