Gabe came to rescue from S. Carolina after he had been dragged behind a vehicle causing extensive injuries to the bone in multiple places to include his feet. His 'owner' stated it was an accident, yet the tissue had already started to turn necrotic. The owner was made by animal control to bring to vet. When the owner refused to sign him over and left the vet without treatment, animal control came and took him away. Gabe is now safe with us. He is 1 year old and approximately 45 pounds. Gabe will be up to date on vaccines and neutered prior to placement in his forever home. He is good with people and we believe is fine with other dogs. Right now we are not able to fully assess temperament due to the extensive nature of his injuries. He will remain with our veterinary partner to receive treatment for a while - his road to recovery will be hard and will take some time.
