Meet Beans! Beans and her sister Beanie were rescued from a NYC kill shelter. We received a plea for these two pups who were in terrible shape and of course we stepped in immediately to get them to safety. They were both hunched over and have flat feet as if they have spent their lives squished in a cage that’s too small. Beans is currently in foster care but would really love a home of her own. We are not quite sure what breeds went into making these beautiful girls! The vet described them as, "Unknown large breed with stunted growth due to malnutrition." Our best guess for now is Mastiff mix and around 10 months old.  At night Beans sleeps with her humans, right on her foster moms chest, making "macaroni mouth sounds" for a few minutes until the final goodnight sigh comes. She loves to snuggle her people and is so sweet and friendly with people of all ages and other dogs. Beans will quickly steal your heart and she deserves a family of her own where she will never fear for her safety again.
