Sweet Hailey is a one year old Pit mix who weighs 32 pounds. We rescued Hailey (previously known as Haiku) from the NYC ACC shelter. Her skin was so badly damaged from what appears to be a horrific skin infection that it looks as though she’s been burned. She had open sores all across her body with deep gashes that we are sure were very painful. As soon as we got the plea for this poor girl we immediately said yes! Hailey was transported right away to our Brooklyn Vet Partner where she will get all the urgent medical care she needs and lots of TLC. Soon we will have this adorable princess looking and feeling so much better. All she needs now is a loving forever family waiting for her when she’s ready...could that Be you?! Our volunteers have been visiting with Hailey at the vet and say she is just as sweet and gentle as can be. She is wonderful with people of all ages and other dogs and will be spayed and up to date on vaccines prior to placement in her forever home. This angel deserves nothing but the best from here on out and we plan to find her the very special person that can finally fill her days with so much love that she forgets about her tragic past.
