Meet Grace! Grace is a Pit mix pup who was born in November 2018 and comes to rescue from Texas. This precious 4 month old puppy has suffered severe blunt trauma, we suspect she was hit in the face causing a horrific injury to her jaw. She has no other abrasions any where on her body other than her face. She also had been roaming the streets like this for weeks, suffering in silence with no one intervening until we finally got a plea to help and of course said yes! Her lower jaw bone was cracked straight through in the middle and she needed  life saving surgery with a board certified surgeon to repair the damage that was done. She has had jaw surgery at our specialty vet in Austin. She is doing amazing now! She had to wear a muzzle for a few weeks to keep her healing jaw in place but she just had her final checkup and her jaw is HEALED! She has put on healthy weight and has been able to resume all normal puppy activities! Grace has the most beautiful chocolate coat with diluted brindle markings. She also has white “socks”, a tuxedo chest, and the most adorable eye patch! She hasn’t had any accidents in her foster home, does great in her crate,  and she absolutely loves everyone! She loves to run and play outside, She’s already getting the hang of the doggy door, and loves to just tag along for company. She does a lot of napping and cuddling and she’s really calm for a puppy. We would really love to have a wonderful forever family waiting for Grace when she’s ready. She is such a precious and loving girl despite what she has gone through and someone is going to be so lucky to get to add this beautiful girl into their heart and home. She is friendly with people of all ages and other dogs and will be spayed and up to date on vaccines prior to placement. She deserves so much more than the life she has known so far and we can’t wait to see her unconditionally loved and adored!
