This very handsome boy is Gustavo! Gustavo is a year old, weighs 25 pounds, and comes into rescue from Texas. From his absolutely stunning coat we are guessing that this boy is possibly a Border Collie/Pointer Mix. Poor Gustavo found himself alone and scared in a high kill shelter with a tight chain embedded in his neck. We are so glad that we were alerted to his situation and now he is safe and sound! He got all the medical attention he needed with our vet partner and although his physical wounds have healed Gustavo is still working through the emotional trauma that he has endured. Gustavo certainly has not deserved the horrendous life he has had to endure so far and we are so excited for him to finally be in a loving home of his very own. Gustavo needs a special adopter who can be slow and patient with him while he learns to trust again and gain confidence that he is safe now. You can see the sweetness in his eyes but he is shy until he warms up to his new environment. Gustavo absolutely loves other dogs and a doggy sibling in his forever home is a must for Gustavo! A nice quiet home in the suburbs without a lot of hustle and bustle, with no small children and with a fenced in yard would be the best fit for this handsome guy...a home where he can have plenty of time to come around on his own terms while he is learning that humans will not treat him badly ever again!
