This cutie pie is Nona! Nona is a 2 year old toy terrier mix who weighs 8 pounds. We were able to rescue her from a high kill shelter in Texas where she had arrived in very bad shape. Nona had suffered two severe breaks to her back leg. We got her immediately to our vet partner where she will get all the medical treatment she needs. Because these injuries to her leg had gone untreated for so long, Nona is not a candidate for surgery and will need her leg amputated. Don’t worry though because little Nona is in high spirits now that she knows she’s safe and we know that she will thrive at life on three legs! She is the most precious little girl and after what she has been through we can’t wait to find the special someone that can give her the amazing forever home that she deserves! Nona is very sweet and friendly with people of all ages and other dogs. She will be spayed and up to date on vaccines prior to placement.
