Beautiful Onix is a border collie mix who was born in September 2018. She was found roaming the harsh streets of Texas in horrible condition. It was clear that this poor girl had been neglected and suffering for too long. We got Onix immediately to our vet partner where it was determined that she had a bad skin infection. She has been treated and is already looking and feeling so much better! Soon she will be ready for a home to call her own! Her skin still needs a little more time to heal all the way but she is ready and waiting for her special someone to see her, fall in love, and know that in just a short amount of time her skin will heal all the way, her gorgeous hair will fill back in, and she will be stunning once again! Onix has been through a lot and is a shy girl. She is friendly with all she meets (people of all ages) but she prefers to be safe indoors in the comfort of her foster home. She really enjoys the company of other dogs and they in fact seem to make her more confident and at ease so Onix would really love to have another doggie fur sibling in her new home! Big city life might be a little too much for this girl right now so a quieter home environment would be the best place for Onix to spend her forever. With just a little time, patience, and lots of love, we know that Onix will finally realize the world is not so scary anymore. She will be spayed and up to date on vaccines prior to placement.
