Meet Paloma! Paloma is a gorgeous Lab mix born in approximately April 2018 who weighs 70 pounds and comes to rescue from Texas. Paloma was shot by a neighbor and found herself in critical condition and in need of immediate medical attention. We stepped in to get this girl to safety and she was taken straight away to our vet partner. The bullet had gone into Paloma’s leg and shattered her humerous bone. She had the life saving surgery she needed on her leg, and fast forward, Paloma now has full use of the leg but may limp slightly a bit after a vigorous walk.
Paloma is spayed, has great house manners, is housetrained, is awesome on a leash and she loves to meet other dogs. She is a bit shy and unsure of new people, but once she knows you well, she warms up and is very sweet. Paloma is not comfortable around young adult males, and she will be working with a trainer on that. Paloma also has some herding tendencies.
Paloma needs a patient, quiet home of her own where she can settle in at her own place, where she will be adored, spoiled, and kept safe and sound so she never ever has to experience anything like her past ever again. If that sounds like your home, please fill out an adoption application for Paloma here! www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org
