Ellie is a female Pit Bull Terrier mix rescued from the streets in South Carolina.  Our veterinary partner estimates that Ellie is 6-7 years old at the time of intake in February 2020.  This beautiful girl was not surviving very well on her own in the streets and she was severely emaciated.  But she has received the best veterinary care, and her bags are packed and she's ready to set out on the road to happiness in a forever home.  Ellie has a low energy level and really enjoys her daily walks. Ellie is a smart pup who is fully potty trained, leash trained and knows basic commands. Ellie is an absolu te cuddle bug and thinks she’s a lap dog. She loves to be as close as possible to her person. Ellie would be great as an only dog or part of your pack. She may be good with a cat who will stand his ground.  Ellie has the sweetest soul and loves to look up at you with her big hazel eyes. She is great with all humans but may need some extra time meeting males.  Ellie prefers the suburbs with a yard as she enjoys soaking up the sun while lying in the grass.
