Opal is a female 12-pound Brussels Griffon mix rescued in Alabama from a parking lot where she had been wandering for days. This pretty girl was thought to be 6-7 years old at intake in late April 2020. The odds were stacked against Opal as she was trying to fend for herself on the dangerous streets while battling a painful, serious eye condition. As soon as Rescue Dogs Rock NYC rescued Opal, we immediately took her to our veterinary partner, where both of her eyes had to be removed. Opal's sense of hearing is heightened to compensate for her blindness, and don't even think about trying to sneak up on this girl! Opal is housebroken, knows the sit command, and politely gives you her paw. She is a sweet, happy pup who is good with people of all ages and other dogs. If you can make room in your heart for this beautiful, special girl, please apply online to adopt Opal at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
