Elle is a female Jack Russell Terrier mix rescued in Alabama.  We estimate that Elle is 9 months old at the time of intake in May 2020.  Elle is good with people of all ages, other dogs and cats.  What a story this little girl has to tell! In Elle's short life, she was picked up as a stray with her brother in Alabama and taken to a shelter. She was rescued from the shelter by a rescue, recently adopted by a family in NY and transported up to NY to her adopters. But when Elle was taken to the vet to be spayed, it was discovered that this poor pup, who is just a puppy herself, is going to have puppies!  Her adopters advised the original rescue that they no longer wanted Elle and  were returning her.   And that's when Rescue Dogs Rock NYC stepped in!  The original rescue asked us if we would take Elle into our rescue, and of course, we said yes.  Elle will now deliver her puppies in a safe, loving foster home.  And in a few months when Elle is an empty nester,  she will go on to live the story book life we have written for her.  We would like to have that life waiting for Elle when she's ready.  If you would like to be Elle's happy ending, please apply online to adopt Elle at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
