Lilo is miniature poodle thought to be 8+ years old at intake in June 2020 and who weighs 14.9 pounds, and came to rescue from a southern shelter with a torn cruciate on the left side. Our vet has examined him and feels it will get better with rest and he is currently recuperating there. Lilo also needed a dental. Lilo has been uncomfortable and hard to assess at the vet. We aren't sure if this is because of his injury or if he is just scared. We are pretty confident, however, that the right home is out there for him where he will receive lots of gentle love and he will know there is nothing to be scared of ever again! At this time we ask if there are kids in the home, that they be over the age of 10 and more understanding that he may need some space to adjust.
