Beanie is a female Boxer mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Beanie is a year old at the time of intake in June 2020. Beanie is good with people of all ages and other dogs. What a sad story our Beanie has. She was adopted out by a shelter in Texas six months ago as a healthy puppy. Beanie thought that was her happy ever after, but unbeknownst to the shelter, Beanie was living in a house of horrors. Beanie was recently returned to that shelter with two broken front legs. Our veterinary partner advises that Beanie was likely confined in a crate that was too small, causing her wrists to break from the constricted movement. We are happy that Beanie was returned to that shelter and that the shelter asked us to take Beanie in. We will fix her up and make sure that she goes on to live a happy, wonderful life this time. A life she had no chance of living until we rescued her. Beanie will require surgery on both front legs, but we would like to have her forever home waiting for her. If you can show Beanie that a happy, loving forever home is really forever, and you can make Beanie an important part of your family, please apply online to adopt Beanie at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
