Betty is a female Golden Retriever mix rescued in Texas.  Our veterinary partner estimates that Betty is two years old at the time of intake in June 2020.  Betty is good with people of all ages and other dogs.  What a sad history Betty has already accumulated at only two years old.  She was obviously used as a breeding machine, and then at some point she escaped that life only to find herself homeless on the streets with a massive tumor that dragged on the ground becoming raw and infected.  And people just walked past and ignored this poor pup in such a desperate condition. Until one day the right person saw Betty and didn't walk past.  This person called Rescue Dogs Rock NYC and asked if we would take Betty into rescue, and of course we said YES!  Betty was immediately transported to our veterinary partner where she will have surgery to remove the tumor.  And then Betty can get on to the next chapter in her history book . . . the one that takes up the rest of her life.
