Bear is a male Labrador Retriever mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Bear is 2 years old at the time of intake in June 2020.  Bear is good with people of all ages and other dogs.  What a sad story Bear has been living, but don't worry, it has a happy ending!  This poor boy was a stray who wandered onto the right property as the property owner noticed that his front leg was swollen to 10 times its normal size.  She was determined to help Bear, and when Rescue Dogs Rock NYC heard her plea, we were there to take Bear into rescue and get him the veterinary care he so obviously needed.  Unfortunately, the infection in Bear's leg was too invasive, and his leg had to be amputated.  But now Bear is on the mend and will soon be ready to join his forever home.
