Sarah (GA) is a female Pit Bull Terrier mix estimated to be 2 years old when rescued in Georgia in August 2020. Sarah is good with people of all ages, including kids, other dogs and cats. We pulled this sweet girl from a kill shelter where she was thought to have a heart condition and would have likely been euthanized. Fast forward to a cardiologist's assessment in spring 2021, and Sarah's heart is just fine. She has a clean bill of health! Sarah is an amazing mush of a dog. She assumes the role of Momma to small dogs, and although she can initially be intimidated by larger dogs, she just needs time to warm up to them. Sarah is the gatekeeper to her foster home, taking seriously her job to approve everyone entering! She is perfectly fine once she confirms the visitor is okay! She is a happy couch potato/lap dog who is easily trainable as she is food- and treat-motivated.
She is housetrained, well behaved, not a barker, loves to look out the window, loves just being around her people, just a very easy good girl. If you are that amazing person willing to give Sarah the happy life she deserves, please apply online to adopt Sarah (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption
Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
