Pepper is a female Labrador Retriever mix dog rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Pepper is 3 years old at the time of intake in August 2020.  Pepper is good with people of all ages and other dogs.  We found Pepper suffering in a kill shelter where she was brought after being hit by a car and suffering significant trauma to her eye.  Pepper needed immediate medical care as she was in substantial pain, so when the shelter called Rescue Dogs Rock NYC and asked if we would help Pepper, of course we said YES!   We arranged for her to be taken to our veterinary partner right away where Pepper's left eye required removal.  Now Pepper is healthy, very active, and so sweet. Pepper is shy at first but once she trusts you, she will show you so much love. She plays well with other dogs, but doesn’t like cats. Pepper is an energetic dog who requires daily walks and stimulation. A fenced-in yard is a must since she loves to run outside and play.  Pepper is crate trained and housetrained.
