Kent (NY) is a male Chihuahua mix rescued in New York. Our veterinary partner estimates that Kent is 12 years old at the time of intake in September 2020.  Kent is good with people of all ages and other dogs.  This poor senior guy was found abandoned in a crate in an apartment complex. Not only was he starved, but he had a huge tumor growing on his back. The level of abuse and neglect this boy has suffered is abhorrent.  Kent's tumor was removed and this boy is ready for his forever home! Kent is an absolutely  snuggle bunny. For a dog who was emaciated, neglected, and abused, he is the most well-behaved lap dog ever! He fully understands wee pads and uses them without fail, but he also loves to walk outside! He is currently being fostered in the city, and he has shown himself to be a true city boy--unfazed by noises and other dogs. Kent has an amazing appetite and requires his food to be softened due to his teeth removal, but that doesn’t stop him from gobbling down his favorite soft food, pumpkin or some eggs! Kent loves nothing more than to sit in your lap and will do so peacefully. While watching TV, he enjoys cuddling up next to you like a little baby, and even likes to have his paws tucked into your hand. He also sleeps great through the night. All Kent wants is to be loved and to be near you.
