Kai (TX) is a male Shepherd mix rescued in Texas. It is estimated that Kai was born on or about 7/19/20.  Kai is good with people of all ages and other dogs.  Kai was brought into a kill shelter with a severe injury to his hind leg.  He was in shock from the pain and infection which had set in.  We don't know what happened to Kai or how he sustained such a terrible injury, but we knew as soon as we received the plea to help Kai that we had to get him to a vet right away for lifesaving treatment.  And that's exactly what we did.  Kai's injured hind paw only has one toe, and he will need to wear a bootie on rough surfaces on a lifelong basis.  Kai is just a little puppy and whatever happened to him is all he knows of life.  We promised Kai that we would show him what it feels like to be loved, to be an important part of a family and to have a forever home where he can feel safe and secure and know that he will never again know cruelty.  If you can give Kai that home, please apply online to adopt Kai (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
