Wolfie (SC) is a male Boxer mix rescued in South Carolina and estimated to be 7 years old at intake in December 2020. This gorgeous boy's once happy world was turned upside when his owner passed away at home, leaving Wolfie trapped in the house with his owner's body. Wolfie is safe now, has received some TLC with our vet partner for a skin condition and is looking for a forever home where he can live his best life and be happy again. Wolfie is very gentle with people, very polite with other dogs and not bothered by cats. He will do best with older children. He rarely barks, is house trained and rarely pulls on the leash unless he sees a squirrel in close range. He is lower energy, mostly a couch potato, loves to snuggle and is a bit of a Velcro dog - he attaches quickly to his humans and follows them from room to room. He is very food motivated and loves soft treats, as well as Kongs with peanut butter and puzzle toys. Looking into Wolfie's soulful eyes, you can see he appreciates the love he feels from you. RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption.
