Taco (TX) needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Taco (TX) is a male Chihuahua mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Taco is 3 years old at the time of intake in April 2021. Taco is good with people and other dogs. This precious little guy was hit by a car and left on the side of the road as the life drained from his little body. Fortunately, a passerby knew that Taco's life was worth fighting for, so she picked him up and asked Rescue Dogs Rock NYC if we would save Taco. And of course we said YES! Taco was immediately brought to our emergency vet where he was diagnosed with some fractures and severe damage to his eyes. His right eye had to be removed, and he is being treated by our orthopedic vet. Taco is on the road to recovery, and his first stop along the way will be his forever home! RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.
