Peanut (NY) is a male Bulldog mix rescued in New York. Our veterinary partner estimates that Peanut is 6 months old at the time of intake in May 2021. Peanut is good with people and other dogs.  We believe Peanut is the victim of a backyard breeder.  When Peanut suffered a rectal prolapse, rather than get him the medical treatment he required, the backyard breeder surrendered him to a kill shelter.   A dog requiring medical treatment who was surrendered by an owner has no chance whatsoever of getting out of a kill shelter alive without a rescue stepping in to save him.  And that's what we did.  This adorable little guy has already had surgery and is recovering.  Peanut is absolutely adorable!   If you would like to accompany Peanut on his life journey, please apply online to adopt Peanut (NY) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
