Palmer (TX) is a male Alaskan Malamute mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Palmer is 9 weeks old at the time of intake in July 2021. Palmer is good with people of all ages and other dogs.  At time of placement, Palmer will be altered, if medically appropriate, and current on basic vaccinations appropriate for his age.  Palmer had been neglected and abandoned and he was suffering, he was terrified, and dying alone.  And he was only an 8 lb 9 week old puppy.  To top that off, Palmer had such a severe infestation of hookworms that it caused his rectum to prolapse.  And rather than receiving the urgent, lifesaving medical treatment he required, Palmer was tossed like trash into an overflowing city kill shelter.  When we found Palmer, he was on the euthanasia list at that shelter.  In 24 hours, Palmer would have been gone.  As soon as we found Palmer, we rushed him to our veterinary partner for lifesaving medical treatment.  As of July 2021, Palmer requires continued medical care and a specialized diet.  Palmer is now safe, he's happy and finally learning how it feels to be loved.  But Palmer really wants to learn what it feels like to be a permanent member of his forever family.  If you can help us turn Palmer's life around and give him a happy home as part of your family, please apply online to adopt Palmer (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
