Pearl (TX) is a female Boxer mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Pearl is 6 years old at the time of intake in June 2021. Pearl is good with people and other dogs.  This gorgeous lady was unceremoniously dumped by her family at a kill shelter in a rural area.  She had little chance of getting out of there alive, until someone asked Rescue Dogs Rock NYC if we would save Pearl, and of course we said YES!  Pearl has suffered a life of neglect, so we sent her off to our veterinary partner to bring her care current.  Pearl is already looking better, and boy is she beautiful!  S he would benefit from having another dog companion as she never knew how to be a dog and being around other dogs will help her open up more. She can also be the only pup and of course soak up all the attention herself. S he's still learning how to trust humans, but once she trusts you, she will always look up to you, put her body into you and follow you. She also loves taking lots of naps, is very easy going and twice a day she gets a little spunky, which is the absolute cutest thing ever.

Pearl is dog and kid friendly and although she has not been cat tested, nothing spikes her interest, not the frogs, chipmunks, squirrels or anything else she comes across. RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.
