Savanah is a female Pit Bull Terrier mix rescued in South Carolina. Our veterinary partner estimates that Savanah is 3-4 years old at the time of intake in September 2021. Savanah is good with people and other dogs.  This beautiful pup came into rescue from a kill shelter toting her six 3-week old puppies with her.  Savanah and her pups were in a terrible state of neglect. Savanah was emaciated and was suffering from hair loss due to flea dermatitis.  Savanah is described by our veterinary partner as "the sweetest thing ever."  She is very much a lap dog as she loves to climb into your lap and cuddle.  She is friendly, loves her toys, gets along with everyone and is crate trained.  Savanah is an easy dog and would be great for first time dog owners.  She’s calm, very gentle, walks nicely on a leash, she isn’t reactive to other dogs and doesn’t seem to mind small animals like squirrels or bunnies. She loves to be near her human and paws at you for attention, but also likes to lay in the sunshine. Noises do not bother Savanah. Although a yard would be nice, Savanah would be okay without a yard so long as she gets regular exercise and walks. She would enjoy having a doggy sibling, but she would likely be okay as an only dog. Savanah is not a barker.
