Mabel (GA) is a 55-pound female Labrador Retriever mix estimated to be 20 months old in November 2021.  We found Mabel in a kill shelter with a horrific injury that may have resulted from her becoming entangled in whatever tethered her.  Sadly, this resulted in the need to amputate her leg, but this special girl has healed wonderfully and will live a happy life as a tripawd.  Now that she's healthy and well cared for in her foster home, she has a beautiful coat and is oh so sweet and gentle. Mabel's ideal forever home will be a calm household with a loving, experienced owner, without children in a quiet suburb, with a fenced yard and a resident doggy companion. She has been spayed and microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines. Mabel didn't deserve whatever happened to her.
