Sally (TX) is a female Shepherd mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Sally is 10 months old at the time of intake in November 2021. Sally is good with people and other dogs. This beautiful girl has known only hunger, sadness and pain in her short life. She was abandoned by her family when they tied her to a tree and just left her there, never to return to check on her or take her with them. She had no food and survived by eating the acorns that fell from the tree to which she was tied. By the time help arrived for Sally, she was emaciated and malnourished and close to death. We rushed Sally to our veterinary partner where she received lifesaving treatment over a period of time. This pup is such a sweetheart, and she's so friendly. She loves everyone, very playful and loves getting love! Sally is now ready to turn the page in her life story to the part of the story where she finds happiness. If you would like to star in Sally's story, please apply online to adopt Sally (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
