Lacey (SC) is a female Labrador Retriever mix rescued in South Carolina. Our veterinary partner estimates that Lacey is 2 years old at the time of intake in December 2021. Lacey is good with people and other dogs.  We can only imagine what Lacey's life has been like as she has bone fragments in one of her legs as a result of having been shot.  Because of that, Lacey sometimes limps on that leg.  Despite whatever cruelty and neglect Lacey endured, she remains super sweet and very friendly (although cats are not her friends!).  Lacey is very playful, cuddly and has a good deal of energy. She will need an active family to keep her busy. She is super friendly with pretty much all dogs who can match her energy level. She will do best with a fenced yard with a doggy sibling or two or where she can go to a doggy park and play with other active pups. Lacey is good on a leash and will make a great running partner.  If you can open your heart and home to this beautiful girl, please apply online to adopt Lacey (SC) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.   RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
