Marie (AL) is a female Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix rescued in Alabama. Our veterinary partner estimates that Marie is 8 weeks old at the time of intake in late January 2022.  Marie is good with people of all ages and other dogs.  Marie's life didn't start out so well as she was homeless and stuck in a kill shelter at just 8 weeks old.  A young puppy is at higher risk of contracting a fatal virus in a kill shelter, so we were happy that we were able to find Marie and get her out of there before any harm came to her.  Marie was suffering from a skin infection, upper respiratory infection and parasites, and she has received the medical care she required.  T his beauty is not only stunning--she is also super smart, cuddly and sweet. She knows sit, paw, down, come, rollover, leave it and drop it. She is full of silly puppy antics and would do wonderfully in a home with children and a yard or an active urban person/family who can take her out to play. She adores children! She sleeps overnight in a crate without accidents. If you would like to give Marie your last name, please apply online to adopt Marie (AL) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.    RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
