Barney (SC) is a male Chihuahua (maybe!) mix rescued in South Carolina. Our veterinary partner estimated that Barney was 10 weeks old at the time of intake in early May 2022. Barney is good with people of all ages, cats, people of all sizes, and other dogs. In fact, Barney cleans his kitty siblings ears! He is very sweet and social, submissive with other dogs, and seeks attention from his people. Barney does walk well on leash and wants nothing more than to please his people. Loud noises can startle him and he will scoot and bark at those, but Barney is such a loveable guy and OH! SO CUTE. You can't help but scoop him up and love on him!

 Barney comes into rescue after being surrendered by his owner. He, 3 other siblings, and a momma with newborns all came into rescue at the same time from the same home. RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
