Gunther (GA) is a neutered male German Shepherd Dog mix rescued in Georgia. Gunther has short, thick legs, and we're not exactly sure of his breed mix.  Our veterinary partner estimated that Gunther was 8 months old at the time of intake in late May 2022.  Gunther is good with people and loves to play with other dogs.  We found this super friendly, sweet, handsome boy in a kill shelter suffering with a horrific open, deep gash across his belly.  Gunther's wound was treated and he is all fixed up and ready to meet his forever family.  Gunther loves to chew and will keep himself content chewing on his rope toys and Nylabones. He loves to play fetch and part of the game is making you work to get the ball back from him!  Gunther may bark at strangers, but he can easily work through it.  He is food motivated which is a plus for training.  Gunther doesn't like to be left alone, and his foster family is working with him on that.  He is a true puppy--he wants to play and he loves attention.  Gunther knows "sit" and "gentle" when taking treats.  This boy is a champion leaner!  Gunther deserves a life so much better than the one he has had.
