Nola (SC) is a spayed female Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mix rescued in South Carolina. Our veterinary partner estimates that Nola is a year old at the time of intake in September 2022. Nola is good with people and other dogs.  This sweet, beautiful girl gave birth to 5 puppies on August 22, 2022 and her owner promptly dropped them all off at the local kill shelter.  As soon as we heard about this family, we immediately pulled them out and brought them to safety.  Nola's puppies have all found loving forever homes, but sweet Nola is still waiting for her happy ever after.  Nola is  dog friendly and a complete love bug with people she meets after she has some time to get comfortable with new people. She is a champion snuggler and will cuddle up to dogs and people (including kids). Nola is potty trained and sleeps through the night. Although Nola is crate trained, she prefers to sleep next to her foster doggy siblings at night. Nola walks well on a leash, but she is a bit fearful when she sees new people. We believe with continued walks and exposure, Nola will overcome her fear. If you can give Nola that forever home, and forever means forever, please apply online to adopt Nola (SC) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.   RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
