Grace (SC) is a female Shepherd mix rescued in South Carolina. Our veterinary partner estimates that Grace is 3 years old at the time of intake in October 2022.  Grace is good with people and other dogs and seems to ignore cats.  Grace was surrendered to us from a hoarding situation in which she was living a life of abuse, neglect and cruelty. She was emaciated, suffering from a painful skin condition, was infested with several types of worms, and her eyes were infected.  On top of all of that, Grace was trying so desperately to care for her two babies, one of whom passed away despite our veterinarian's best efforts to save her.  Grace's puppy is now ready to find his forever home, and that means that it's finally Grace's turn at happiness.  Grace is a sweet girl who is  toddler and older kid friendly. She is still working on achieving a healthy weight and her fur is still growing back.
