Alfred (TX) is a male maybe Shar Pei mix with maybe some Can Corso rescued in Texas.  Our vet partners estimate his age as 5 years old at the time of intake in April 2023.   He is good with all people and dogs but no cats for this guy. Alfred would be wonderful in a home with just adults who can shower him with affection.  Alfred has a familiar story, homeless living on the streets and ignore by everyone that sees him.  That is until one of our volunteers spotted him.  He was sleeping in the dirt stressed worrying about finding his next meal.  He was in danger of being hit by a car or attacked by animals or other dogs.  Well that stress and fear is over, he is safe and learning that life is good.  All he needs now is to find his forever family and start that life we have been telling him about. Alfred i s a sweetheart who loves everybody and any dog he meets. He would do well with someone that is home often and an equal size companion to play with. He is completely house broken and puts himself to sleep in his crate. He is only crated when no one is home. He knows No and stop. He is working on basic commands like sit and such. He is extremely food motivated and should train quickly. He loves his toys and can play fetch for hours..
