Marissa (TX) is a female Shepherd mix rescued in Texas.  Our veterinary partner estimates that Marissa is 4 yrs old at the time of intake in August 2023.  Marissa is good with people and other dogs.  Beautiful, sweet Marissa was surrendered by her owners in horrific shape.  This sweet soul was clearly neglected by her family but that is over.  She is calm and gentle and the only sounds she makes are little happy moans and groans when she's sleeping or being pet. She loves chicken chips and belly rubs and gentle with all beings.. She has been through a lot and still believes in the goodness of the world and people. She watches the geese in the sky fly by. She is an old soul with a heart as big as the moon. All she wants is to be loved. The best day in her life was the day she was dumped and we scooped her up. She would love to be a part of a family; her very own family..
